The adult volunteers at 1st Lemington Scouts are responsible for planning and delivering the wide range of activities, adventures and opportunities enjoyed by our young people each week.

From weekly meetings and camps to fundraising events and community projects, our volunteers work together to create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where young people can develop confidence, friendships and Skills for Life.

Our team brings together a wide range of experience, interests and skills, helping us deliver a varied and exciting programme across all sections of the group.

Behind the Scenes

While much of Scouting happens outdoors around campfires, activities and adventures, a huge amount of work also takes place behind the scenes to help the group run smoothly.

From programme planning and badge records to fundraising, equipment organisation, transport, governance and event preparation, our volunteers work together to support every aspect of life at 1st Lemington Scouts.

Alongside delivering Scouting for young people, we’re also proud to have built a welcoming and supportive volunteer community. Whether it’s helping at events, sharing a brew after meetings, celebrating achievements or taking part in social activities together, the friendships and experiences built through volunteering are an important part of what makes the group special.
